GOOD CHEAP FAST

If you're new to project management or just want to know about methodologies, best practice and another issues (vision).

Traditional vision:

The Project Management Triangle (called also Iron Triangle and "Project Triangle") is a model of the constraints of project management: FAST, GOOD and CHEAP.
  • Develop something quickly and of high quality, but it will be very costly to do.
  • Develop something quickly and cheaply, but it will not be of high quality.
  • Develop something of high quality and low cost, but it will take a long time.

Agile vision:

Agile is a project management methodology that uses short development cycles called sprints to focus on continuous improvement in the development of a product or service.

Agile has become extremely popular, widely adopted and a highly effective project methodology that offers project teams, sponsors, project leaders and customers many benefits including the following:
  • Agile allows for more rapid deployment of solutions.
  • Increased focus on specific customer needs.
  • Optimal project control.
  • Reduced waste through minimization of resources.
  • Increased flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Faster detection of issues and defects.

Please, visualize again the previous video (Spiderman), think that the first sprint corresponds to the section of 10 sec (right section).
The following sprints, work to get the result of 1 minutes and 10 minutes, added benefits: increased frequency of collaboration and feedback and increased focus on specific customer needs.
